QILEE Group Introduces Q-RO-Series Integrated RO Water Desalination System for Global Water Scarcity

August 11 09:57 2026

QILEE (Qilee Group), a global provider of integrated water treatment solutions with more than 20 years of experience in industrial and municipal water management, has announced the launch of its Integrated RO Water Desalination System.

The Q-RO-Series is a large-flow municipal-grade system with a single-unit water production capacity of 50–2,000 m³/day. Multiple units can be operated in parallel to expand capacity to the 10,000-ton-per-day level. The plant shown in the image adopts a multi-unit, multi-set RO module parallel configuration.

The system functions to desalinate and purify raw water, including river water, brackish water, and seawater. It successfully removes salt content, suspended solids, colloids, COD, and microorganisms to produce compliant drinking water (compliant with WHO drinking-water standards) or industrial process water.

Applications and Target Markets

The Q-RO-Series is designed for municipal water supply; specifically serving as a potable water supply for towns, particularly island and riverside regions in Southeast Asia. It is also engineered for industrial water applications, providing pure process water and circulating make-up water for factories. Additional applications include seawater and brackish-water desalination, surface-water purification and treatment, and centralized water-supply projects for large mines and industrial parks.

QILEE’s target regions for this system include the Middle East (specifically EPC infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia and the UAE), Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and large-scale coastal industrial zones in China. Target customer groups encompass municipal water-supply groups, EPC general contractors, large-scale steel and chemical plants, and environmental-treatment engineering companies.

Technical Specifications and Configuration

The complete system integrates pretreatment, high-pressure RO membrane modules, a chemical dosing system, product-water storage, and centralized monitoring and control. Inlet TDS can reach up to 45,000 ppm under seawater operating conditions. The system recovery rate is 70–80% for brackish water and 40–50% for seawater.

The system’s configuration includes:

  • Pretreatment unit (including coagulation and sedimentation, sand filtration, and carbon filtration)
  • High-pressure pumps
  • RO pressure-vessel array
  • Chemical dosing system
  • Product-water storage tank
  • Cleaning system

Operation and Control

The system operates fully automatically via fully automatic PLC control, supporting both local touchscreen operation and remote monitoring through a centralized management platform. It features automatic flushing and fault alarm functions. Automatic shutdown protection can also be configured to safeguard the system during abnormal operating conditions. Periodic chemical cleaning of the RO membranes is required.

Product Advantages

  • Modular Parallel-Connection Design: The system can be expanded according to project requirements. As demonstrated by the plant shown in the image, additional units can be added during later project phases without demolishing or rebuilding the existing civil works, making the system well-suited for phased-construction projects.
  • High Fouling-Resistance Membrane System: Designed to handle high-turbidity surface water and seawater, the system helps reduce the risk of membrane fouling and clogging while extending membrane service life.
  • Fully Automatic Control: Reduces the need for on-site manual attendance and supports remote operation and maintenance for overseas projects.
  • One-Stop Solution: Covers process design, equipment supply, installation guidance, commissioning support, and after-sales training, providing customers with one-stop project delivery.
  • Flexible Installation Options: The system can be supplied in a containerized or skid-mounted configuration. It can also be installed as a large-scale fixed water treatment plant, as demonstrated by the actual plant shown in the image.

Overview of the Production Process

QILEE ensures quality through a rigorous seven-step process:

  1. Process Scheme Design: Process calculations and equipment layout drawings are prepared according to the customer’s influent water quality and required water production capacity.
  2. Frame and Skid Base Fabrication: Sheet-metal processing and welding are carried out for the equipment frames and skid-mounted bases.
  3. Procurement of Core Components: Procurement includes high-pressure pumps, RO membrane elements, pressure vessels, instruments, PLC control systems, and chemical dosing systems.
  4. Workshop Assembly and Pre-Commissioning: The equipment is assembled in the workshop, including pipeline welding and electrical wiring, followed by factory pre-commissioning.
  5. Factory Testing: The completed system undergoes hydrostatic pressure testing and comprehensive electrical testing before leaving the factory.
  6. Packaging and Export: The equipment is disassembled as required, packaged for transportation, and shipped overseas by sea freight.
  7. On-Site Installation and Commissioning: The equipment is assembled at the customer’s site and connected to civil-constructed water basins and storage tanks. On-site commissioning is then completed before final handover.
